Yemen's Houthis claim attacks on Saudi airport, oil infrastructure

The Iranian-backed Houthi movement claimed responsibility on Wednesday for attacks on critical Saudi infrastructure, including King Khalid International Airport and petroleum facilities operated by state oil giant Saudi Aramco. The claims came after ballistic missile and drone strikes were reported in the Riyadh region earlier this week. The militant group, which controls large parts of Yemen following years of civil conflict, has repeatedly targeted Saudi Arabian economic and military assets. Saudi Arabia has not yet issued an official statement regarding the claimed attacks or any damage assessment. Qatar's government condemned the Houthi actions, marking a diplomatic response from the Gulf nation to the escalating tensions. The attacks underscore ongoing security concerns in the region as the Houthi insurgency continues cross-border operations against Saudi Arabia.
