Yotta Data Places Record India GPU Order Worth Billions
Indian data centre operator Yotta Data has announced what is believed to be India's largest artificial intelligence chip procurement, ordering nearly 100,000 graphics processing units from Nvidia to support its expanding cloud infrastructure.

Yotta Data said it will procure 50,000 units of Nvidia's Vera Rubin GPUs alongside 45,000 of the company's GB-300 processors, which form part of the latest Blackwell architecture family. The combined order represents a significant capital investment aimed at bolstering the company's AI and high-performance computing capabilities across its data centre network.
The procurement underscores India's growing appetite for advanced semiconductor infrastructure as domestic enterprises and cloud service providers race to build competitive AI capabilities. Yotta Data, which operates multiple facilities across India, has positioned itself as a key player in the country's emerging data centre ecosystem, competing with established international operators while catering to local demand.
Nvidia's Vera Rubin and GB-300 GPUs are designed to handle demanding workloads including large language model training, inference operations, and complex data analytics. The Blackwell architecture represents the company's latest generation of processors, offering improved performance metrics and efficiency gains compared to previous versions.
The timing of the order reflects broader trends in India's technology sector, where companies are investing heavily in foundational AI infrastructure.
