When Grace Hendrian opened a lemonade stand in 2019 with an initial target of $10, few could have predicted the scale her charitable endeavor would eventually reach. Seven years later, the initiative has raised $55,000 for The Salvation Army, far exceeding the modest original goal.
Grace and her sister June founded the Lemon-Aid Stand for Good with the aim of supporting those in need within their community. What started as a single stand operated by two siblings evolved into a broader movement, with 14 stands operating by 2026 as the initiative gained momentum and inspired other young people to participate.
The project demonstrated how grassroots fundraising efforts can galvanize community participation and generate meaningful impact. The sisters' venture also resulted in direct support for local families facing hardship, extending their charitable work beyond simple fund collection.
The Lemon-Aid Stand for Good concluded its operations in 2026, marking the final season of the initiative that had become a fixture in the community's charitable landscape. The sisters' efforts earned recognition for their volunteer work and dedication to supporting vulnerable populations through their innovative fundraising approach.
