Police have apprehended a young man on charges of theft after he allegedly made off with Rs 50 lakh in cash and gold items from his family home. The accused, identified as Yash, is believed to have taken the valuables to finance personal expenditures connected to his romantic involvement.
According to the family's complaint, the cash had been stored at the residence for legitimate business purposes. As an active participant in the family enterprise, Yash had access to and awareness of the money kept within the house, authorities said.
