Young motorcyclist killed in collision with parked jeepney in Quezon
A 22-year-old motorcycle rider died Monday after his bike struck an unattended jeepney on a major highway in Gumaca town, Quezon province. The accident occurred along the busy Maharlika Highway during late afternoon hours.

The fatal collision took place in Barangay Bamban at approximately 4 p.m., according to a report filed by Quezon provincial police on Tuesday. The motorcycle operator was traveling along the Maharlika Highway when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle, resulting in impact with the parked jeepney.
Police did not immediately disclose the rider's identity or confirm whether alcohol or mechanical failure contributed to the loss of control. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
