YouTube Premium subscribers in Singapore will face higher monthly fees effective immediately, as Google moves to increase revenues from its subscription video service across the region.
The individual plan will now cost $15.98 per month, representing a $2 increase from the previous $13.98 monthly rate. This brings the Singapore pricing in line with recent adjustments implemented across other markets in Asia and globally.
The price hike reflects broader trends among streaming platforms, which have increasingly adjusted subscription costs to offset rising content licensing fees and infrastructure expenses. YouTube Premium offers ad-free viewing, offline downloads, and access to YouTube Music as part of its service bundle.
Existing subscribers will be notified of the change ahead of implementation, with the new pricing applying to all renewals following the notification period. Google has indicated the higher fees will enable continued investment in content and platform features for users in the region.
