YSRCP MP seeks probe into alleged attack on party floor leader

An YSRCP member of parliament has submitted formal representations to the President, Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, and senior national institutions regarding alleged threats to party floor leader Midhun Reddy's safety.

According to the representations, Gurumoorthy has sought urgent intervention from these authorities to investigate what he characterizes as an attempt on Reddy's life. The YSRCP legislator has raised concerns about the security implications for the party's senior leadership during the ongoing political climate in Andhra Pradesh.

Beyond Reddy's personal security, Gurumoorthy has appealed for adequate protective measures for Reddy's security personnel and party candidates participating in the forthcoming local body elections. The representations underscore the YSRCP's stated concerns over the safety of its leadership and cadre during the electoral process.

The move reflects mounting tensions within Andhra Pradesh's political landscape as local body elections approach. The matter has now been escalated to India's highest constitutional and executive authorities for review and appropriate action.
