Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Umno vice-president, will not attend PAS's Munajat Penyatuan Ummah (Ummah Unity Prayer) event scheduled for Kelantan, the party's secretary-general announced. According to PAS leadership, Zahid is required to attend a major Umno programme being held in Melaka on the same day, making his attendance at both events impossible. The Munajat Penyatuan Ummah is a significant religious gathering that brings together Muslim leaders and community members for prayers and unity discussions. PAS had reportedly extended an invitation to the senior government figure as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the ruling coalition parties. The scheduling conflict underscores the challenges faced by senior political figures balancing multiple commitments across different party platforms and geographical locations.
