SELANGOR: Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged state Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali to seek an audience with Selangor's Ruler, Tengku Muthriz Alamsyah, to help resolve the escalating political crisis in the state.
Zahid acknowledged the sacking of 10 executive council members and announced plans to convene meetings with all Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional assemblymen in the evening to discuss strategies for resolving the impasse.
The calls for royal intervention come as tensions within Selangor's ruling coalition continue to mount, with the removal of the exco members marking a significant escalation in internal party disputes.
