Zambales suspends classes across 13 towns amid monsoon rains

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Thirteen municipalities across Zambales have suspended in-person classes at all educational levels Tuesday due to inclement weather brought by the ongoing southwest monsoon.
The municipalities of Subic, Castillejos, San Antonio, Cabangan, Botolan, and Masinloc were among those implementing the suspension, affecting students in public and private schools across all grade levels.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) had issued a yellow rainfall warning for the region, indicating the monsoon system continues to pose hazards to communities in the area.
Local school officials have advised parents and guardians to monitor further announcements regarding the resumption of classroom activities as weather conditions are reassessed.
