SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Government offices across four towns in Zambales province have implemented flexible work arrangements as the southwest monsoon persists in bringing heavy rainfall to the region.
The towns of San Marcelino, Cabangan, Palauig, and Olongapo City have shifted their operations to accommodate work-from-home setups and other alternative work arrangements. The move comes as meteorological concerns mount over potential flooding and hazardous travel conditions throughout the affected areas.
Local government units made the decision to balance employee safety with the continuation of critical public services. Government personnel in these municipalities were advised to work remotely where feasible, allowing essential personnel to maintain operations at their respective offices.
The monsoon system continues to affect portions of the Zambales province, with weather authorities closely monitoring the rainfall patterns and issuing advisories to residents in low-lying areas. Government offices indicated that normal operations would resume once weather conditions improve and travel risks diminish.
Officials urged residents in the affected areas to exercise caution and stay informed of updates from local government units and meteorological agencies regarding the ongoing weather situation.
