Professional wrestling promotion WWE has made available exclusive content on its Club WWE platform featuring Sami Zayn's title defence against Cody Rhodes. The match took place off-air following the conclusion of Monday Night RAW programming.
Despite Rhodes' involvement in the contest, Zayn successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Championship after the bout ended via disqualification. The finishing sequence prevented Rhodes from capturing the title despite his efforts against the defending champion.
The exclusive release marks WWE's continued strategy of providing supplementary content to subscribers of its premium digital service. Club WWE has become a repository for matches and segments not broadcast during the company's flagship television programmes.
The encounter between Zayn and Rhodes adds to their ongoing narrative within WWE's competitive landscape. Zayn's retention sets the stage for his next scheduled championship programme, maintaining his status as a prominent title holder within the organisation.
