India's leading discount brokerage Zerodha has raised its instant withdrawal ceiling from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh, while expanding service availability to weekends and market holidays without additional charges.

Zerodha has significantly enhanced its instant withdrawal facility for retail investors, doubling the transaction limit to ₹5 lakh from the previous ₹2 lakh threshold. The move comes as the brokerage seeks to improve liquidity access for its growing customer base amid expanding market participation in India.
Beyond the higher withdrawal limit, the platform has extended operational hours for the service to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, providing investors with a wider window to process withdrawals during standard business hours. The extended timeframe is intended to accommodate varying investment schedules and fund management needs across its user base.
Perhaps most significantly, the facility is now accessible on weekends and market holidays without any additional charges, removing previous restrictions that limited withdrawals to trading days. This round-the-clock availability addresses a long-standing operational constraint for retail traders who may need to access funds outside regular market hours.
The enhancement reflects competitive pressures within India's growing fintech and discount brokerage sector, where players are increasingly differentiating services through faster settlement and improved fund accessibility. For Zerodha's users, the changes represent a material improvement in cash management flexibility as the platform continues to expand its service suite.
