Zomato has rolled out a new delivery option that significantly expands the restaurant selection available to its users. Through the Limitless Delivery feature, customers can now place orders from selected restaurants situated up to 40 kilometres away, rather than being restricted to nearby establishments in their immediate locality.
The service has been launched initially in seven cities including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore, marking a strategic move by the company to increase user choice and reach restaurants that would otherwise be inaccessible through conventional delivery parameters.
This expansion of delivery coverage addresses a key limitation faced by food delivery platforms, particularly in metropolitan areas where users may seek specific cuisines or restaurants that lie beyond standard delivery zones. The feature enables customers in tier-1 cities to access a wider dining selection without geographical constraints.
The initiative reflects growing competition in India's food delivery sector, with platforms increasingly focusing on expanding service areas and improving user convenience to retain and attract customers. The rollout to major urban markets suggests the company may extend the feature to additional cities based on user demand and operational feasibility.
