Zookeeper in Critical Condition After Leopard Attack in Enclosure

A zookeeper is fighting for life after a leopard attack at a zoo facility left her with critical head injuries. The incident occurred within the leopard's enclosure, where the animal inflicted severe wounds on the caretaker.

Emergency response teams mobilized quickly following the attack, airlifting the injured zookeeper to a nearby hospital. Medical staff have begun intensive treatment protocols, with surgical procedures already underway to address the extent of her injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the attack are under investigation. Zoo authorities have not yet released detailed information regarding how the incident transpired or whether safety protocols were being followed at the time of the mauling.

Zoo officials are expected to provide further updates on the zookeeper's condition and initiate a formal review of safety procedures within the facility. The attack has raised questions about handler safety measures during interactions with large predators in captivity.
