As President of Temasek Singapore, she now oversees the state investor's stakes in Singapore's corporate mainstays, including DBS, Singapore Airlines and Singtel. On 1 October she gives up her second job as Temasek's chief financial officer to focus on that portfolio. The two roles have made her one of the most senior figures in one of the world's largest state-linked investors. The numbers The scale is hard to match in Asian finance. Temasek reported a record net portfolio value of S$518 billion as at 31 March 2026, up S$49 billion, with a one-year total shareholder return of 10.5 per cent (The Business Times, 8 July 2026). The Singapore-based Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs) make up 43 per cent of that value. BT reported that they collectively generate about S$200 billion in revenue and employ more than 400,000 people worldwide, and Fortune put their Singapore workforce at over 160,000. BT said that strong performance by listed TPCs, together with gains from divestments, was the main driver of the year's record. Temasek's returns, with those of GIC and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, are the second-largest source of funding for Singapore's national budget. The role Under the new structure, which also created Temasek Global Investments and Temasek Partnership Solutions alongside Temasek International, Png's Temasek Singapore is the steward of the country's champions. How it engages with companies such as DBS, SIA and Singtel on capital allocation, strategy and leadership carries weight well beyond any single balance sheet. Background Png joined Temasek in July 2011 from UBS, where she co-headed the Financial Institutions Group for Asia investment banking. At Temasek she led the financial services team and held senior posts in China and in the Portfolio Strategy and Risk Group, according to Exor. Fortune described her as having spent "nearly 15 years rotating through Temasek's most demanding roles", including senior managing director for China investments. She became chief financial officer on 1 January 2023 and president of Temasek Singapore on 1 April 2026. The CFO handover is already under way. Temasek appointed Wendy Koh, group CFO of Mapletree Investments, as its next chief financial officer from 1 October 2026. Koh joined as CFO-designate on 1 August for a two-month transition. "Png Chin Yee, President, Temasek Singapore (TSG), will relinquish her concurrent role as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 October 2026, to focus on her leadership of TSG," the company said (People Matters, 23 June 2026). International profile Her profile has also grown internationally. On 20 May 2026 shareholders of Exor, the Agnelli family's Amsterdam-listed holding company, approved her appointment as a non-executive director for a term running to the 2029 annual meeting. Exor controls or holds major stakes in companies including Ferrari, Stellantis and Philips. Fortune ranked her 77th on its 2026 list of the Most Powerful Women in Business. The Business Times noted she was one of only two Singapore-based executives on the list, alongside DBS chief executive Tan Su Shan.
