In August 2026 Alexandra Eala won the Mubadala DC Open, the first WTA Tour singles title by a player from the Philippines, and three weeks later rose to No. 18, the highest ranking ever held by a Southeast Asian woman. The autumn has been harder, and she is learning in public how to carry both.
